Areola Reduction
Areola reduction is an aesthetic procedure, aimed to reduce the size of the areola - the darker-coloured area of skin around the nipples. Areola reduction can be a stand-alone procedure, suitable for both men and women. It is performed to achieve better aesthetic proportions of the breasts and nipple-areola complex:
It helps to aesthetically improve the diameter and shape of the areola
It can improve symmetry
It pairs effectively with other breast corrective procedures
During the procedure, incisions will be made around the areola and the surrounding tissue will then be redraped and tightened to reduce the diameter of the darker area.
An areola reduction takes up to an hour, and you will be able to return home the same day. Any discomfort should reside within 2 days, but it will take around 2 weeks to heal.
