About Miss Jurga Pikturnaite

Miss Jurga Pikturnaite entered medicine at Vilnius University in Lithuania, driven by a lifelong motivation to improve the quality of life for people. She achieved her MD in 2005 and has since undergone extensive surgical and aesthetic training, that now allows her to specialise in aesthetic as well as trauma and oncological reconstructive surgery: the repair of shape, the restoration of function, and, where needed, creatively enhancing and structuring beauty.

Miss Pikturnaite started working in the field of plastic surgery in the NHS in 2008, undertaking formal plastic surgery training from 2013 to 2021 to become a certified consultant plastic surgeon, reflecting her enduring commitment to staying at the forefront of emerging surgical innovation.

She later completed a hand surgery fellowship in South Wales and a paediatric hand surgery fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children, London, in 2021, followed by an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the Wood MediSpa, Okehampton, in 2022. 

Miss Pikturnaite worked as a major trauma reconstructive consultant plastic surgeon at the South Wales Major Trauma Network for three years (2022–2025), undertaking major emergency as well as elective limb, microsurgery, and nerve reconstruction procedures. This period was not only professionally significant, dealing with complex, high-pressure cases, but also personally rewarding. It was a demanding chapter in her career, both technically and emotionally, and one she describes as profoundly formative in shaping her confidence, resilience, and approach to surgical care.

Now working exclusively in private practice, Miss Pikturnaite is a Consultant Plastic Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Hand Surgeon at Emendo Surgical Group. Her approach blends technical precision with a refined aesthetic eye, offering a thoughtful and deeply personalised experience for every patient in her care.

With her extensive background and dedication to surgical excellence, Miss Jurga Pikturnaite continues to make significant contributions to the field of plastic surgery — particularly in areas of reconstruction, facial, breast and body surgery, as well as women-focused aesthetic and quality of life improving care.

Beyond Clinical Practice

Miss Jurga Pikturnaite is committed to carrying the skill forward through mentoring, supervising and supporting trainee plastic surgeons, and her position as an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University. She delivers regular hands-on teaching sessions at cadaver dissection laboratories to the future plastic surgeons, as well as delivering teaching modules at Cardiff University.
